Barbara Jay & The Tommy Whittle Quartet
.BARBARA JAY has long been recognised as one of Britains outstanding singers. She was a featured vocalist with the Ronnie Scott Band and also appeared with the Dutch Swing College Band. Barbara was chosen to sing with the legendary Benny Goodman and his band for his continental tour. She has performed on TV with Kenny Ball, featured as a cabaret artiste on the SV Saga Rose and P&O Oriana, and recently showcased with Tommy Whittle's Pizza Express Allstars at the Pizza On The Park, Knightsbridge. She recently devised the successful Ella Fitzgerald Songbook Show which has performed at major venues and festivals throughout Britain.
In the world of saxophone playing, TOMMY WHITTLE has been renowned and respected throughout his career. He joined the great Ted Heath Band when he was only 20 years old. After five and a half years, he left to further his solo playing desires and, in fact, bacame a featured soloist with the BBC Showband.
