Tony Wood's Jazz Workshop
Our Jazz workshop is open to musicians of all ages. Tony Woods is the driving force behind the workshop and offers some superb guidence in the rudiments of Modern Jazz.
Cost is £8 per head with a jam session after the workshop
Tony studied jazz at Leeds College of Music and the Guildhall School, London. In 1986 he won soloist and band prizes at the Dunkirk Jazz Festival. The Tony Woods Project has released two albums: High Seas (FMR, 1997) and Lowlands (Basho, 2004) which received four stars from John Fordham in the Guardian. He is saxophone tutor at Brunel University and Richmond Adult Community College and is saxophone consultant for the Associated Board’s jazz syllabus. In 2005 Tony joined the faculty of the Jamey Aebersold Jazzwise Summer School.
